The EU imposes Anti-dumping tax on hot-rolled stainless steel from Taiwan, China and Indonesia

According to a report from the EU on 8th of April, the European Commission started imposing provisional anti-dumping duties on hot rolled stainless steel sheets and coils from Taiwan, China and Indonesia.

According to the ruling, the temporary anti-dumping duty for Taiwan is set at 6.0-7.5%, the tax for China is 14.5-18.9% and Indonesia is subject to 17.0% tax.

These taxes will be valid for a period of 6 months. During this time, the European Commission will continue to investigate whether other measures should be taken.

The EU launched an anti-dumping investigation on hot rolled stainless steel sheets and coils originating from Taiwan, China and Indonesia last year, based on complaints from the European Steel Association.
